Bhagawan Sri Ramana Maharshi employed experience packed words such as Avesam (awe-way-sum) and Sphurana in describing his self inquiry process, words that are rarely used in spiritual traditions. Yet, there exists little discussion and propagation of these experiences as practical aspects of Self inquiry. These experiences could be considered as litmus tests  along  Ramana's Self inquiry path. The book offered here delves deep into the practical portion of Self inquiry journey. The transformative power of Avesam and Sphurana truly establishes a seeker in the Self inquiry state.Â

The organic evolution of Sri Ramanasramam in Thiruvannamalai, India is commendable. Sri.V.Ganesan and Sri. Ramanacharana Tirtha Swami, formerly known as Sri. Nochur Venkataraman, among many others, are maintaining the tradition in cultural flourish. Their guidance in speech and efforts is indispensable in understanding the Ramana Tradition. It seems the official policy of Sri Ramanasramam is not to get into methods and procedures for Self inquiry, rightly so, since it is personal and intuitive for each and every seeker and also since Ramana is a whole lot more than his Self inquiry teachings. Above all, Ramana has given, in his own words, suggestions and hints on how to inquire. There are many paths to Ramana, Self inquiry being one that suits seekers who have invested efforts in any spiritual tradition, but still yearn experiential clarity. It is then personal accounts that can get into the nitty gritty of the Self inquiry process. Would you welcome such personal account narratives to serve this need?
